Visiting From
Holland Village to Dempsey Hill
Holland Village to Dempsey is a short trip. For runners, cyclists, and expat parents in the area, it's one of the closer options for a proper MSK assessment.
About This Trip
A Grab from Holland Village MRT to 27A Loewen Road takes 8 to 12 minutes. Bus 7 from Holland V MRT runs the same corridor if you prefer, with a short walk at the Dempsey end. Driving via Holland Road takes 12 to 15 minutes. On-site parking at 27A Loewen Road, though it can fill at busy times.
The trip rarely needs justifying from Holland V. The question is usually what you're coming for. If you're a runner or cyclist with a recurring overuse issue, or an expat parent wanting a practitioner who takes time with each patient, come in. My approach.
Who Makes This Trip
Runners and cyclists
Green Corridor and Holland Plain regulars who've been running through something for a few weeks, telling themselves it'll settle. Sometimes it does. When it doesn't, the longer you wait the longer the fix takes.
Holland V residents
Expat parents a year or two in, managing something that never quite rose to urgent. They'll book after the school holidays, after the next work trip. At some point the list of reasons to wait runs out.
New arrivals
First few months in Singapore, still finding a routine. Holland Village is a common landing spot for expats. The complaints are usually from the move itself: the flight, a week in a serviced apartment, setting up a home without help. Some of it settles. Some of it doesn't.

Common Questions
Bus 7 and Bus 106 run from Holland Village MRT along Holland Road toward the Dempsey Hill area. Neither drops you directly at 27A Loewen Road, so you'll walk the last 5 to 8 minutes through the Dempsey precinct. It's workable if you know the area, but a Grab is faster and takes you to the door. Total bus trip is about 12 to 15 minutes plus the walk. Grab is 8 to 12 minutes point to point.
The first appointment is a full assessment: health history, the specific complaint and how it developed, and a physical exam that looks at how you move. For running injuries, that means hip mobility, knee mechanics, foot and ankle loading, and lumbar and pelvic function depending on where the issue is. I'm interested in why something is happening, not just what hurts. If I think the issue is biomechanical and training-load-related rather than something I can directly treat, I'll say so and point you toward the right kind of help. More on what to expect: first visit.
There's on-site parking at 27A Loewen Road. On weekdays it's usually fine. Weekends and public holidays it can fill up, particularly if there's an event on at Dempsey. If you're coming on a weekend, leave a few extra minutes or Grab instead. From Holland Village by car, the drive is 12 to 15 minutes depending on Holland Road traffic.
